Individualized Psychiatric Care for Adults

Assessment first. Then a plan you can sustain.

Mental health concerns in adulthood are shaped by more than symptoms alone. Work, relationships, family responsibilities, identity, physical health, neurodevelopment, life transitions, and past experiences can all influence how a person feels and functions. Our approach combines careful psychiatric assessment with individualized, evidence-based treatment.

01 — Evaluation

Comprehensive Psychiatric Evaluation

Our evaluations are conducted by board-certified psychiatrists (MD/DOs) with extensive medical and psychiatric training and current or prior academic appointments.

We take the time to understand the whole person: current symptoms, prior treatment, medical and psychiatric history, sleep, substance use, relationships, work and educational demands, culture, identity, strengths, and goals. Because we are trained as physicians, we consider how medical conditions, medications, and other physical factors may be contributing to what you are experiencing. When appropriate, we thoughtfully reconsider prior diagnoses and treatment assumptions, so that the care plan reflects an accurate and current understanding of the individual.

03 — Treatment

Medication, psychotherapy-informed care, and adult neurodiversity

Thoughtful medication management

Medication decisions are individualized. We review prior trials, effectiveness, side effects, interactions, treatment burden, and patient preferences with the goal of a clinically sound and sustainable plan.

Psychotherapy-Informed Care

Our main role is to evaluate your concerns and manage medication. But medication is only one part of feeling better, so our physicians also bring the principles of proven therapies into your visits. When it fits, we may offer practical tools such as ways to manage worry and stress, gradually facing fears that hold you back, building healthier daily habits, and improving sleep. These are the same ideas used in well-known therapies, and they help you get more from your treatment and keep the progress going. If you see a therapist, we work alongside them so your care fits together. If therapy would help and you do not have one, we can talk with you about it.

Adult Neurodiversity

Many adults spend years working harder than everyone else to stay organized, focused, or on top of daily life. Others have been treated for anxiety or depression without feeling better and wonder if something else is going on. We take the time to look at your whole life story, from childhood to today, to find out whether ADHD, autism, or something else may be part of the picture. Our physicians are trained to tell apart conditions that can look alike, so you can get an accurate answer and the right support.

04 — High-Stakes Careers

Care for demanding roles

For physicians, healthcare professionals, attorneys, executives, academics, and others in demanding roles, symptoms may intersect with performance expectations, professional identity, confidentiality concerns, burnout-related distress, and barriers to seeking care.

05 — Who & Where

Who provides this care

Our psychiatrists are medical doctors with years of training in both mental health and physical health. That matters, because many medical conditions and medications can affect how you feel. We look at the whole picture and talk with you about your medical health, what has and has not worked before, side effects, and what you want from treatment. The goal is a plan that is safe, makes sense, and you can stick with.
